Brief
To split one large industrial warehouse into three smaller units. This included strip out and undertake a full refurbishment of each unit ready for letting,
The Role
Cornerstone were initially instructed to undertake a Building Survey as part of the Clients purchase of the industrial warehouse. Working with the client we prepared a Specification and the Tender Documents. After undertaking the tender process, we were then further instructed to act as the Contract Administrators to oversee the refurbishment works.
The building required extensive strip out, having previously been occupied by a single Tenant. The package of works included for the division of the units, removal of a redundant mezzanine, rationalisation of the offices and WCs, full refurbishment of these areas and the warehouse, plus improvement to the appearance of the front elevation.
Project Outcomes
The units are now vastly improved in terms of appearance and let ability. The majority of the units have now been successfully let.
