Brief
Following acquisition of the estate, works were proposed to undertake a full re-cladding of both the buildings on the site to improve the appearance, replacement of roller shutter doors and a number of rooflights. Internally, the vacant unit required extensive strip out to the mezzanine, division of the unit, installation of new WCs and full decoration throughout.
The Role
Cornerstone had initially been instructed to undertake a Building Survey as part of the Client’s purchase of the estate. Following the purchase, we worked with the Client to prepare Specification and Tender Documents for the refurbishment and re-cladding works.
Following the appointment of a Contractor, we provided full services acting as Contract Administrators for the works. As part of the project we had to ensure that the existing Tenants were able to continue with their operations with minimal disturbance.
Project Outcomes
The appearance of the building and in turn the estate has been greatly improved, due to the replacement of the cladding. The divided-up warehouse areas are ready for re-letting with their own WC’s and offices.
